Hey sweetie!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!! It was just the coziest little spot ... but the light was BEATING down on that spot ... it was so contrasty I didn't think any of the shots would work.

Pictou / Lyons Brook, NS - Canada

Beautiful image! Love the colors, compostion and light. Creating a picture like this is really like an adventures voyage. It was worth every single second you spend doing this.

Lois Bryan replied:

thanks so much, Marianne ... and I completely agree with you about the voyage ... it's what makes the tinkering end of it so much fun ... you add, subtract, tinker and tweak until your eyeballs bleed ... then suddenly that one last step and you step back and go OH!!! THAT'S what I meant to do all along!!! LOLOL!!!!! Thanks again!!!!!

Susanville, CA - United States

Excellent work Lois. The colors are rich and the scene is inviting.

Lois Bryan replied:

Thanks so much James, thank heavens for photoshop et al ... the original image was horribly contrasty as the light there was VERY strong. The original image took a lot of imagination .. and HOPE ... to get it to this stage, lol!!!

Ardmore, OK - United States

Excellent lighting and colors. Nice perspective ,too.

Lois Bryan replied:

Hi Iris!!!! Thank you so much!!!!! There was actually a couple of steps up to that level so I was much lower than I normally would have been. Good eye on you to have picked that up!!!

New York, NY - United States

Very evocative. (Hope they showed up eventually! :-))

Lois Bryan replied:

Hi Chris!!!!! Thank you!!!!! And yes , he did. I thought the image had a touch of romance and sadness about it, so I hoped the title would lead the viewer in that direction. Actually, I was sitting there with my dog, Sadie, while Richard, my husband got me some soft ice cream ... YUM!!

Dallas, PA - United States

Absolutely gorgeous light and rich tones, Lois! :-D

Lois Bryan replied:

Thanks, Aaron ... I think the hdr brought a lot of that out. Actually, I used the hdr image and did a "tone compression" image too and combined them in PS. Never tried that before. Love experimenting!!!!!

Pryor, OK - United States

Very nice! I love how deep and rich the colors look.

Lois Bryan replied:

Hi Jeff ... thank you!!! I was actually working on the opacity of a black and white filter to give it a more nostalgic feel but I couldn't pass up that wonderful warmth of those red bricks!!! Glad you like the results!!!
