Description:

The placement of the figure exiting the frame as well as the foot prints are suggestive of a passage to finality. Whatever her thoughts, whatever holds her interest out to sea, she is about to leave them behind. Any trace of her, like her footprints, will quickly be washed away by the surf. She will remain to us only a memory, forever a mystery, captured for an instant in this image. That is the Pacific Ocean in Los Angeles, California, USA at dusk.
