Thanks for sharing the technique

For my artist colleagues, my technique on this painting is to lay on a heavily textured gesso. I use modeling paste applied with a bristle brush and color it with cad red tinted gesso. This is the foundation layer that you lay on all your colors. The finished painting is alive with colors. I used this technique for making the Mexican tiles look old and worn as they really were. Try it and you will find you can do amazing things.

As I was saying.....things just getting better and better. I absolute the way you have been painting this one. It is like you have drawn it with pastel. Love it.
