I was astonished when I saw this beautiful flowers, with which I grew in Puerto Rico (called here "Trinitarias") and were among my favorites because of their beauty and glamour, throughout Israel during may visit in 2007. He who is really acquainted with them is not able to confuse them. What I was seeing was true, these are Bouganvillae gabra flowers, which grow all over Israel and come in many different wonderful colors. The explanation, for them also being in Puerto Rico is that these flowering plants are said to be native to South America. The plants have many thorns are in fact woody vines. Called by many "paper flower", the beautiful leaves are alternate, simple ovate-acuminat and the actual flower of the plant is small and generally white, but each cluster of three flowers is surrounded by three or six thin papery bracts with the bright colors associated with the plant, including pink, magenta, purple, red, orange, white, or yellow.
