Jack Kell's Woods
Painting - Digital Oils

Even during daylight hours, Jack Kell's Woods is shrouded in mist, the light pale, flickering; the treetops disappear into the veil of gray and the water in the stream is black as molasses. You can't get the villagers to enter Jack Kell's Woods at night, and few are those who visit in the day. Ask anyone in rural West Sussex and they'll tell you how Jack Kell was drowned in that very stream after making an oath that he would marry sweet Abby or die trying.
