Description:

This painting was done mostly when I first began to paint in Manhattan. I went there for a week visit and never left for the next 9 years except to visit here and there during those years. It is a pretty wild story for the first almost year of that time. When I finally was able to settle down enough to paint I was painting in my bedroom which was where I stayed the whole time I was 'home'. I had a female who was all right but I didnt know her at all. I painted on the floor with my paintings leaning up against my bed as I painted. I was continuing my self-education on Egyptian stuff. The bottom right has a couple of lines of hieroglyphs. This series is body parts. In the bottom left is the golden mean with an aspect of it filled in with the detailing on a jacket as worn by Jimi Hendrix that you can see in the lower middle. Jimi's face is surrounded by the last part of Bootsy Collin's signature. I had a signed 8x10 of Bootsy. Near Jimi's head on the right is the Egyptian hieroglyph for 'underworld'. I wrote a little bit in hieroglyphs near Jimi's head on the left, scratched into the black paint. "Darling, flesh and bone, from thee, be done in the city." Coming out of the bottom part of Jimi's lip on the right, it says, "Rule me with one wave of your hand." It sort of shocks me that I feel power in these words the way I do. The pattern behind Jimi's head is an Egyptian design. The head on the upper right is the same image of Jimi but I filled the face part in. Behind it is a crown like how Jean-Michel uses it to make something highlighted how important it is. There is more writing in the crown, which says, " am-bas-sa-dor Any representative or agent charged with a special mission." There are other words but I dont want to write every word down. The images on the upper left are Mesopotamian. I read in a book that long, long ago when the community was together and made music, it was so good and moving that the beings on Earth would levitate. You can imagine my freaked-outness when I looked at the Mesopotamian images and saw the animals levitating off the mountain. There is another image very simlilar except it is dancing women. I would say it is proof positive that this really did happen. An artist documented the thrill of beings levitating during incredible music. I have used the dancing women images many times in my work. They are so pretty. The word "Daddy," is a representation of the feeling and urge I get at times to ask God, a Father figure on Earth, the archetype, Daddy, to fill in my wish list, hence the comma.
