Description:

Hand carved wooden fish created without patterns. John Dory is a slow moving fish so they generally stalk their prey and are found world wide in depths to 650 feet. Painted in watercolors then sealed in 6 coats of a high grade marine varnish (UV protectant) to keep the colors from fading or damage. The fish measures 17-1/2 inches in length, 11-1/2 inches wide, and has a glass fish eye. Comes signed, dated, numbered, along with the name by wood burning on the back. There is also a wire hanger on the backside.
