Great piece of "art" James, love it

Isobel this will be my last communication to you. I am an artist that really believes in digital painting and do not ever try to hide this fact. I state the case for it whenever I can. Please read the following which appears on my FAA site, you just did not read or see it. Regards, james Hand painted digital oil My work is hand painted digital oil art in which traditional painting techniques such as watercolor, oils, etc. are applied using digital tools by means of a computer, a digitizing tablet and stylus, and digital oil software. Digital painting differs from other forms of digital art, particularly computer-generated art, in that it does not involve the computer rendering from a model. Hand painting techniques are used to create the digital oil painting directly on my PC, by using a Wacom tablet, a stylus pen and ArtRage painting software. The Wacom tablet can be compared to a canvas or watercolor paper surface. The stylus pen is my paintbrush. Brush techniques include:- oil brush, which I have set up to different settings of pressure, loading and thinner levels and also customize as required in both square and round brush. Paint tube, mainly for background work. Palette knife set to many varying levels of pressure and shaping. Airbrush, used only for shading work. Brush strokes are often visible in my work. You can’t tell me arrogant after prejudging me. I´m just defending my self... and I supposed you will prejudge my work too... that’s the reason why I selected a very pixilated picture, a low resolution icon of 200 x 200 pixels to make it really difficult to be overpainted... and I changed it to a 1500 x 1500 pixels (look at google/alessandra barros). Sorry for been rude at the first but I wasn’t expecting digital artwork when I saw this portrait. I thought it was good, but then I recognized that this was digital and feel fooled, and I disliked that probable many people buy your work thinking that is traditional artwork and it isn’t.

you have got too much time on your hands isobel.

Yes I paint, and I also know how to use photoshop and I know that is easier than painting because is like tracing. I uploaded an example of a photoshop painting that I did just to show you...

You are one very rude woman. I can assure you this is an original digital painting using Artrage software, which if you took the time to read the blogs where I explain my technique. I t has taken me many years to perfect this style of painting. I assume you cannot paint and are just a "critique" or you would recognise this. May I suggest that you do not even know photoshop, if you did you would know that it cannot do the paintings like mine. Check it out and have a go, Let us see your work. Regards Digital painter James

Thats not a painting, it was made by photoshop... James be hones with the people!!!

James, this is a wonderful painting of John Lennon. I'm totally impressed with the capability of digital painting but also realize that the mastery of the artist is very much at hand. Wonderful work! v.
