July 4th Sunset
FAA WATERCOLOR MARK DOES NOT APPEAR ON FINAL SALES
On July 4th, 2014 I took a cruise around Long Island to see the fireworks from the various shores on Long Island. The cruise was aboard the Miss Freeport V out of Freeport, New York located on the south shore of Long Island. As we started our cruise the skies were overcast and they were calling even for a chance of rain, but just as the sun began to set the clouds began to roll out to make way for a nice clear fireworks show along the Long Island south shore. As we began to get out into the ocean the sun began to set on the horizon and I was fortunate enough to be sitting right on the side of the ship to see this wonderful looking sunset. I was able to capture a little something of everything, from the orange reflection on the ocean's wakes, to the clouds moving across the sky and out of our night time view, to the beautiful sunset on the horizon with that amazing yellow glow around the sun as it hit the horizon and the great colors of the sun shooting into the clouds breaking up the all gray sky. In addition, to the land along the south shore of Long Island in a fantastic looking silhouette scene . All in one shot, right place, right time.
