Description
Kokopelli is a legendary figure whose image has been fround from thousands of years back, even on cave walls in other countries. When visiting Sedona, Arizona on a much-loved vacation a few years ago, I saw the image of this little figure on many art items in stores and galleries.
He is said to bring good luck, fertility, fruitful harvests and an abundance of mischief everywhere he travels.
In some pictures he is seen with a sack on his back, thus the humpbacked appearance. The sack is said to contain seeds for planting. (I did not draw the sack in this picture). Kokopelli is said to be known among the Southwestern Native Americans. His happy countenance is known to cheer and make people feel lucky in many ways.
If you click on one of my galleries: "Southwestern...", you will see many more versions of Kokopelli in a variety of venues.

Greetings from Arizona...Sedona, in fact. We get away very seldom but when we do I too love Sedona and especially Slide Rock/Oak Creek Canyon. I love your art and this strikes a resonant chord. Betty Pieper AKA Elzbieta Zemaitis
