Description:

This painting is the old Kreme Delite in Athens Alabama, my hometown. I have great memories of stopping by the Kreme Delite for an ice cream cone on the way home from church on Wednesday nights with my brother and my mother. We would always see people we knew there. My daughter grew up loving to go there when my husband and I would take her bicycle riding with her in the childs seat on the back on summer afternoons. If you're from Athens, you'll remember that little sliding glass door where you would wait and watch as that sweet, white vanilla goodness oozed out of the machine onto that cone. In those early years we would ride home with the windows down licking away!
