La Petite Iron Lady
Photograph - Photographs
This is an antique 'shutter holder', common in the ancient villages here in the south of France .. Made of iron the swivel joint allows 'her' to bend down.. Pass the wooden shutter behind her back, then 'hinge' her upright again.. Very practical.. This gal stands on each side of the window to do her part to keep the wind from ruining the peace.
She's about the size of a ladies little finger.. Doesn't she look patient? .. & well dresses from the 1800ís..
