Lady In The Flower Garden
Angela A Stanton
Painting - Pastel Painting
This painting was inspired by two things: I photographed two events lately with the theme of the Great Gatsby era and plus I saw a lady today wearing a hat like this (or similar) studded with flowers. This made me think back to the photo sessions of the Great Gatsby era and decided to paint something from that sort of look and wanted to keep the colors and tones old looking with the exception of the rose she is smelling and the ones in her hat. :)
As always I explain that digital means "no chemicals" and hence no toxic materials, fumes, thinners, and rinses. Plus no trees killed in the trial-and-error of getting a picture right. But when printed, a digital art is equivalent is every which way to one that is not digital, only you can order it in more shapes, sizes, and types of material. This is a pastel so the best way to display is either on artist paper or on canvas. Most amazingly, I have some of this sort of art printed on metal in my studio and they look great on metal. I have never seen them in acrylic so cannot say what that would look like. I have printers who can print this on wood as well, which may make a very special piece, so do not feel limited to the options offered at FineArtAmerica, please contact me if you prefer a different material or size, not offered by them.
