Oyeren is the ninth biggest lake in Norway, and part of the Glomma water system. It runs through a total of five local authorities and form the biggest inland delta in Northern Europe. This is also the site of a nature reserve created in 1975, and is an important area for migrating birds. There are a total of 25 fish species in oyeren, the highest number in a lake for the whole of Norway.
