Description:

The girl in this painting represents the death of innocence, tragedy, loss. She is not any one tragedy but all of them. The magazine clippings in the background represent the darkness that is present in the world. What you probably can not make out from this size image is the writing on the hands, which are God's promises to rescue us, heal us, save us and ultimately wipe our tears away.
