Description
One sunset, very late in the day, in the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone National Park, we glimpsed this wolf not far from the trail. He stood and looked back at us for just a moment but, oh what a moment it was. The wind ruffled his fur and the last rays of light shimmered on the fall folliage. There was no time for a photo but it was better just to take in the magic of the moment. He looked at us and loped off up into the trees and in the dim light, we never saw him again and I was happy for that.

What a magical moment you have captured with your beautiful depiction of this wolf. I so love the stories that accompany your batiks and paintings, Harriet. I like the almost threatening sky and the stacked mountains, as well as the bright sumac in the front. And the wolf seems to be smiling! like/follow
