Description:

I was teaching my Starved Rock photography workshop this fall and I was showing the class the effect different shutter speeds have on stopping/silking the water fall. This image has the water in streaks just before it hits the ground. I turned the image into black and white and liked the effect it had. After a few more changes, I liked the lava look, thus the name. This image is printed on fine art papers or canvas like all my work. The canvas images are coated with a UV protectant and then stretched on 3/4" stretcher bars. Finally, I paint the canvas prints with clear acrylic to add visible brush strokes that enhance the feeling of the print.
