Description:

Joan Miro (Spanish/French, 1893 - 1983); color lithograph. This image is plate 6 from the suite \"Le Lizard aus Plumes d\'Or,\" done by Miro to illustrate his series of poems. Begun in 1967, the first attempt was abandoned and Miro re-drew the images, which were printed by Mourlot and republished in 1971 by Louis Broder in a total of 195 portfolios. This impression is from the Deluxe Edition of the first 50 and is printed on a Japanese Kochi paper, numbered 26/50 in red pencil and pencil signed within the image. The image uses the full sheet.
