Great capture Lois, and I just love your title! Nice creativity in the background affects!

Great shot Lois, really cute.

You make one of the most annoying birds (sorry, we could hardly get rid of them in our backyard one summer and they chased all the goldfinch and hummers away) look STUNNING. What a knack you have for wildlife photography, Lois!

Lois Bryan replied:

Bonnie, they used to drive me crazy, too ... they'd eat up all the seeds and bully the smaller birdies. But I got a new feeder, it's squirrel proof (insert huge laugh here) ... and while the feeder may not bother the squirrels very much, it thoroughly annoyed the larger birds like the starlings and the blue jays ... they were too heavy for the perch and they would trip the closing mechanism. So, they quit coming around. This image ... and another fun one of the starlings ... was taken in winter when I'd put a lot of seeds out not just in the feeders but along the deck railing ... plus there were suit cakes. The starlings and the jays and even a pretty towhee came to visit!!! Plus ... I have to say, the starlings are about as funny as any bird I've ever seen ... personality plus dudes!!!!!

Neat work!

Remarkable bird with nice expression..!!

Amazing shot.

This is fabulous, love the texture!! I think Starlings are beautiful. One day maybe I will be able to figure out how to do textures.
