Life in the Slow Lane is the feeling that I have sometimes now that I am over 30.
I don't usually hurry about anything.
I am not on a schedule
I don't "take" meetings.
I don't go to meetings...(unless I have to)
I don't look at the clock, thinking its hands never move.
I look at the clock sometimes though, and think the hands move too fast.
I don't have to have every hair in place before I go out.
I don't wear tons of makeup and lipstick just to go to the store.
I don't mind it when someone calls me "Ma'am."
I don't care if I get grey hair.
I don't mind the few that I have now.
I wear eccentric clothes sometimes and don't care what people think.
Life in the slow lane for me is driving a big, fat Cadillac (which I do) and knowing it is paid for and not caring if my friends drive sportier cars.
Just because I am a turtle does not mean I can't put on the Snazz every now and then...therefore, I wear sparkles and sequins and glitter on my shell.
But I don't mind if you pass me by...
'cause I love Life in the Slow Lane.
