Special Thanks to the two people who bought prints of this shot. Blythewood, SC - United States (August 2013) and Windsor, CT - United States (December 2013). Best Regards, John.

Good grief! I'm not sure this is what Glenn Campbell had in his mind's eye when he sang about Wichita. A moment nicely captured.

John Chatterley replied:

Thank you for the comment Indigo, I'm sure you're right about Glenn Campbell, it was almost certainly a telephone lineman. However, the words of the song struck me as soon as I saw the men on the wires. The emphasis then fell onto getting some good shots of the action.

Wow! What a great shot.I do not envy them one bit! v/f

John Chatterley replied:

Thanks for the comment Richard, and for making this shot one of your favourites. The lineman in the picture was working until quite late in the day, hoping to be finished before the impending storm.

Congrats!

John Chatterley replied:

Thank you very much Lazaro.

Well being in the electricity industry I can appreciate this shot. The gris will be undergoing a major revamp in the next few years.

John Chatterley replied:

Thank you Rory, close to a substation known locally as "Megawatt Valley" (Bustleholme).
