Words on the Certificate of Authenticity: 98 years young, Lionel Ferbos is a proud, dignified man, and has played trumpet for over 70 years. In the early 1930s he joined John Handy\'s band despite remonstrating \"I don\'t play all the wild jazz\"! Now he is \"the last man standing\" of the early jazz greats and still plays weekly gigs at The Palm Court Jazz Cafe in Decatur Street, New Orleans.
