The idea of making a drawing of Galapagos sea lions came to me spontaneously. I hadn't even planned to make a picture like that - one day I just took the pencil and started working. This picture was created an year ago and is probably one of the pieces I've done for the shortest period of time. I don't really remember how long it took me to finish this one, but it wasn't more than a few days.
Have any of you had days like that when you work all day and finish something faster than you've thought you would? This picture is my example for that.
Now something about the animals on it... The Galapagos sea lion is a species of sea lion that's native and endemic to the Galapagos islands. Despite being very playful in nature, the sea lions also like sun-bathing on the coastline of the islands. Very sociable, however, they often come too close to human-inhabited areas and become victims of human activities.
