Thanks for the comments, I made this photo in the Phoenix, Ariz area off a trail called Lost Dog. I too loved the old tree, with the mass of yellow flowers. I worked this particular image for some time before I found just the right perspective, which meant I was lying on the ground in a old dry wash with a bunch of sharp sticks all around.
Absolutely breath taking! I love the mass of strong yellow fowers. The composition with them leading the eye up to the remains of the old tree is very pleasing to the eye. The sky adds interest to the whole image, The cactus in the backgiound give this photo a sence of location. Extreamely well done. Linda
