Description
I was standing miserably under the shelter of the Denon Wing (of Da Vinci Code fame) entrance at the Louvre in Paris hoping that it would stop raining. While I was being miserable, I figured I'd make use of the time taking photos! Luckily for me (one of the few lucky things that day!) the glass pyramids were right in front of me, lined up perfectly. They were designed by Chinese American architect I.M. Pei and completed in 1989. The large pyramid, seen behind, serves as the main entrance for the Louvre. It has become a landmark in its own right, although it initially wasn't, and still may not be, universally liked. There are three smaller pyramids in the Louvre courtyard, one seen here, although they aren't as famous as their big brother.

Love this image, Joan! Especially nice with the reflection on the wet tiles, and your choice of texture. Well done!

Well, the weather made for great tones and textures, plus the nice reflection on the walkway. Nice capture, Joan!
