Description:

This work was inspired by a photo from a Luau when I was in Hawaii a few years ago. While I normally do portraits, I had the urge to let the color go and this just seemed to be an excuse to let that happen. It was fun. When I took a photo of the work, I started playing around with the setting and found the lighting from the torches work no matter how I set the exposure. The scene brings me back to that very enjoyable night in the tropics. I hope it does the same for you.
