Description:

Literally, "Magdalena, Woman of the Gypsies" Magdalena wears a rambling rose on her left, signifying her virtue, and carries a token to ward off the evil eye in her right hand. A small Marian shrine is before the church, and the bell tower, unlike the rest of the painting, has no definite and sharp-edged perspective, rising to Heaven and the land of surreal visions.

Magdalena leaves the town. There are no doors open to her, and only one small window in an upper room, it's gauzy curtain reaching out as if to beckon her return.

The original painting, an 18 x 24" stretched canvas, is currently available for sale.
