Anne-Elizabeth Whiteway
Smithfield, VA - United States
Always felt that it was ironic that the Valleydale commercial features these cute little pigs dancing and smiling happily. I live - not far- from a meat packing plant (Smithfield Hams, etc.) I know what happens on the "kill floor". I am not a pure vegetarian, but I don't eat pork and red meat.... Especially sad when I see a truckload headed for the packing plant packed tightly in a big long truck with vents. I try not to look when side by side stopped at a traffic light--when the big truck hauling hogs is at the intersection.. They sometmes have their noses sticking out of the holes. Perhaps it is a good thing that they don't know of their impending fate.
