Contemporary mammoth tusk ivory netsuke featuring a group of 4 men and 2 women crowded in a tiny boat. The netsuke is signed on the bottom with 2 characters. The mammoth tusk ivory carvings are free of any restrictions for international trade, in contrast to the elephant tusk ivory. Provenence: Dr. Mircea Veleanu's netsuke collection, the author of the collectors refereence book: "Netsuke".
