Contemporary mammoth tusk ivory netsuke featuring a giant frog riding on the back of a frightened woman. Signed on the bottom with 2 characters mark. The mammoth tusk fossil ivory carvings are free of any restrictions for international shipping trade, in contrast with the elephant tusk ivory carvings. Provenance: Dr. Mircea Veleanu's netsuke collection, the author of the collectors reference book: "Netsuke".
