Mandala Of The Seven Eyes
Digital Art - Digital Art
One of the best known and popular ornament of the Middle East, typically in Arabic, Turkish & Jewish culture is the Seven Eyes.Every home has at least one hanging somewhere in a room. It sold in many shapes and designs, mainly in glazed ceramic. Believed that it can keep the evil spirit and envy eyes off your home and family.
There is no specific design pattern though, mainly it has one large eye, and six (or more) smaller eyes either surrounding or chained in line by wire or silver string. And the color scheme is navy blue, turquoise and white and their gradients.Very decorative ornament and sought after ladies and gift buyers as well.
In the middle eastern tradition, when a family buys new house, or moves to new apartment, the best gift considered is the Seven Eyes. I've seen some large ceramic pieces that look amazing on some home walls.
This mandala is designed and inspired by that concept, with mainly large eye in the center, surrounded by six smaller eyes. Unique colors of navy blue, turquoise and white spread all over the artwork. The overall seven eyes, if looked in a certain way you will discover it's a one eye with the filigrees on top and bottom represents the eye lashes. There are four additional eyes on each corner that depicts the evil eye lurking around and watching in every direction.
