Some weird, cut in half, black mannequins in Sighisoara, Trasylvania, Romania, the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler, Dracula's real life model (1430). NOT Dracula's doing, this one!

I took this shot in the old town of Sighisoara (built in the XII century in my native Transylvania, just like my native town of Sibiu, by German - saxon immigrants). Vlad the Impaler, the Romanian Vo´evod whom was Bram Stoker's model for Dracula, was born not more than 500 m from there...

Silver City, NM - United States

This is wonderful, well seen and captures Ion!

Kerrville, TX - United States

Auburn, ME - United States

Awesome photography Ion. Spooky but a little sense of humor with the legs in the window (the way my mind works anyway) V/F and a Tweet

Ion vincent DAnu replied:

Yeap, Bob, there was something spooky AND funny to see them... But you certainly have experienced that during your travels... And a lot of the scenes that are worth photographing ARE funny and spooky or a mixture of that ... some beauty won't hurt, either...

Lakeland, FL - United States

Ion, you sold a print in Dec/ congratulations my friend... This is a little spooky considering where they are. Very artsy too. A fav.

Nottingham, NH - United States

;-) Great photo! . . . right down the window only has legs showing too. Makes me wonder what a street scene there would look like , just a bunch of legs walking around ;-p very surreal. f/v

Ion vincent DAnu replied:

Thanks, Cori! Yeap! could be a interesting movie, eh?

Sherman Oaks, CA - United States

Cool piece-congrats!

Seems that Dracula's city is, paradoxically, a good omen! Thanks Dracula! (and of course, mostly, many thanks to my buyer!)
