Many Miles Away in the distance of this far ranging landscape are a chain of high mountains. But more than that this is someplace perhaps many miles away somewhere as amongst out in the country fields by the limits of habitation and next to a far off vista of wild lands too. A small cracker box like house is in middle ground with a country road going to meet it about the mid horizon. In the foreground by a reflecting pool of strangely strong clarity is a bend on a road with a way marker of some prodigious amount of featured milepost numbers evocative of an Old World scene. The question of "Where are we?" is to be countered with another of "How far is this?" as well as "How did we get here?" Sure to make one wonder too? Previously painted many years ago by this artist as a young man it is here shown in its first wide audience showing for online now.
