I happened upon this lovely weathered garden statue, of a young girl quietly gazing at a bowl resting on her lap, outside a junk and treasures shop in the quaint and quirky Gulf coastal town of Apalachicola, Florida.
She was surrounded by all kinds of bits and pieces that were not at all charming, so with the help of Photoshop, I relocated her in a picturesque courtyard, using one of my own favorite photographs, Inviting Courtyard, which was taken in the lovely perched village of Eze, France in Provence, near the French Riviera.
Because she is surrounded by daisies, and has been relocated to southern France, I named her Marguerite, which is the French name for daisies, which are the French national flower.
