Marilyn Monroe - Pink
Absinthe Art By Michelle LeAnn Scott
Marilyn Monroe - Pink: is a beautiful pop art portrait of the iconic actress Marilyn Monroe. The 1950's Hollywood had a beautiful platinum blonde that was the "it" girl of that era, she took Hollywood by storm with her beauty and charisma. Norma Jean Baker was her given name and first came on the scene in the 1940's, but Hollywood changed her brownish-strawberry blonde locks to platinum and "Marilyn Monroe" was born. She had many tragedies, including dealing with a mother who was mentally ill and other struggles. She had a vulnerability and a innocence, allowing us into her life.
Hollywood gave her the "giggle-girl" and "dumb sexy blonde" roles, but she proved she had much more talent than that...especially in the dark noir film, "Don't bother to knock" actually my favorite of hers...in where she plays a mentally ill woman. "Niagara" was another favorite, as well as "The Misfits" that stretched her acting skills. She died in 1962 and was too young and had so much more to offer, she will always be loved and remembered R.I. P. This will look beautiful on any wall, as well as a great conversation piece. I hope you enjoy :)
*Note: you can put the greeting card in a really beautiful frame and put it on your shelf for a great conversation piece, point of meditation or small piece of art.
