I've been painting (mostly portraits) since I was six years old, as a serious study. I always looked forward to art in school, and often got in trouble for drawing portraits of classmates and teachers when I should have been studying. Trouble wasn't horrible, but more of a reprimand for inappropriate study subject! I'm constantly studying ways to employ classic techniques into crossover studies.
