what a wonderful gift! i love water, so this piece already spoke to me, but you sure captured the feeling of a breeze on your face and the sound of water hitting the side of the boat. nice! i joined for a few reasons: a) try and sell some pieces b) get my name out there... but more importantly c) evaluate myself and evaluate others. lately i've been craving every bit of knowledge or creativity that i can find. thanks for the comment! i really appreciate it.

Description:

This painting was inspired by a friends wedding. It shows two people sailing on a sailboat;the symbolism represents marriage as a vessel that carries two lovers through a sea of adventure and discovery as well as a journey. This painting is an example of a Contemporary School "Chicago Impressionism" ( see Wikipedia "Chicago Impressionism"). The importance of the wind, to the sailor, is illustrated by the visible brushstrokes representing the wind. The wind flows and ebbs around the sail driving the boat as an invisible force that drives a marriage. The original painting was a gift to Francious and Illaria and only reproductions are available at this time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gregory_Allen_Page Collectors Limited Editions Available at www.chicagoimpressionism.com
