Lovely painting !

AnnaJo Vahle replied:

Thank you very much, Maya.

Superb and it is true one size fits all!

AnnaJo Vahle replied:

;-) Clever comment, John! Wish that I had thought of it. Thanks for visiting.

All your work is wonderful as I have stated, but your paintings of people are just spot on. I don't need to see a photograph of this child, you captured it all in this painting and it is as beautiful as if a professional photographer had taken it. Your paintings though are just amazing! fv

AnnaJo Vahle replied:

I am thoroughly humbled by your kind words, Christy. I found that the most difficult aspect of this painting was to get the torn pealed cardboard to look right. Each painting teaches me something.

Excellent work, as all your paintings, Anna Jo, outstanting! V

AnnaJo Vahle replied:

Thank you very much, Zulfiya.

What a creative portrait! You have so successfully related the joy of a box to a child!! vote

AnnaJo Vahle replied:

Thank you, Marlene.

AnnaJo! The innocence of childhood...So cute and cheeky looking and so happy. Now that I am into portraits, you have inspired me to paint my boys when they were young! Gotta go find their photos...

AnnaJo Vahle replied:

Thank you so much, Belinda. I wish you luck. I am sure that you will do a magnificent job.

I love the patterns on the floor, the pose....the colors and the fun mood you have captured. Great image!

AnnaJo Vahle replied:

Thank you, Anne. Funny that you mentioned the floor. Getting that all in perspective was a challenge.

This is so cute!! Kids just love cardboard boxes. Wonderful lighting on his face.

Thank you very much, Yaneth. I usually start out relatively expressionistic but tend to fix it so much that it ends up that way.

Visiting from Beauty of this World V

AnnaJo Vahle replied:

Thanks for visiting and voting, Joan.

What a fantastic, fun work!! I love the story and can really relate to it as I have twin sons and it was fun to watching them grow and seeing their very different personalities emerge. They are 26 now and still very close.. The tend to stay in the same town, working at the same factory and even living together if needs be, (even thought one is married) It pleases me to see that they take care of one another. You are a very gifted artist and I am sure this will always bring great memories! v.f

AnnaJo Vahle replied:

Thank you, Debbie. I agree that seeing to different brothers love each other is a wonderful thing. I appreciate you kind comments.
