Painting - Oil And Ink On Bristol Board
An original oil painting by Rebecca Glaze of a creepy tree that is making mechanized copies of mermaids. I used bold colors and subdued brush stokes, as I do in a lot of my paintings, in order to create a lasting visual impression. Art buyers (and art lovers) will see symbolic references to prominent 20th century artists like Gustav Klimt, Salvador Dali, and Maxfield Parrish (to name a few), as I offer homage to their artistic vision through my own art. The original art work is for sale and Fine Art prints are also available.
Basically, i was messing around when i started this one. ;0) I started drawing a creepy tree on Christmas Day and this is what came out. The title comes from my beloved Battlestar Galactica. (2004) True fans will recognize the term "mechanized copies" from Brother Cavil. If you look closely you will find a lot of hidden elements in this piece.
