A beautiful tribute to those who serve our communities with their life ~ thank you for a lovely memorial. I shared this with my husband who is a volunteer fireman/EMT. v/f/pin

Cottonwood, Ar - United States

My Dad was in the Boston FD at the Coconut Grove Fire, until 911, it was the worst fire based upon the number who died, in one building. Just a couple of days ago, about 11 miles from us, Nineteen members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, part of the Prescott Fire Department, lost their lives Sunday, June 30th... Cottonwood has been covered with so much smoke for over a week, from two different fires in he Prescott area, you would think Cottonwood was burning. But, it was coming over the mountain. This evening we had in N Arizona, a bad storm with 7920 Lighting Strikes, but haven't heard yet if it started any more fires... The Hotshots not only fought fires in AZ, but many other states in the west. They went wherever they were needed, and have been compared with other firefighters as the "Seals" of firefighting teams.
