Rows of stately fan palms, sillouhetted against a blazing Southern California sunset, seem to reach toward the heavens. These towering Mexican fan palms stand like sentinels all along Mendocino Avenue in my hometown of Altadena, California. Hence title of this photograph, "Mendocino Sunset".
