Thanks Hunter! I admit, when the client asked me to do this, I was worried about doing it in graphite for the very reason you brought up. The dog was deceased, so all I had were several photos that showed almost no definition/direction of the fur. She was very pleased so I was too. Thanks for commenting.

This is quite an accomplishment. I used to work in graphite myself, so I know how much work is involved, especially when the subject is very dark (black fur)! Very well done.
