Painting - Acrylic On Canvas
" A view of a pale emerald-green river among the trees shedding their autumn leaves. "
This is a painting that depicts an inlet to Lake Ontario in late summer. It is a view from a bridge going over the creamy emerald-green river. One tree trunk was bending down and almost touching the water surface.
I started this trail walk in Marie Curtis Park, which is located in the west end of Toronto, and I walked along the trail westwards to Mississauga. The trail went on and off the lakefront and I stopped at a number of parks along the way to make sketches of a variety of natural features in each spot. While I was at Jack Darling Memorial Park, which has a small beach on Lake Ontario, it got dark, and it was my last park to visit that day. The waves were so high at Jack Darling Memorial Park Beach that it did not look like a lake at all.
