Love this! Its a beautiful portrait. And even though many of us are in shock at the outcome of the election (May God help our country), that innner light is still shining through the smile on Mitt's face. Taking comfort in knowing that BO may be in the White House, but God is still on the Throne.

Carla Carson replied:

Thank You for that Pat! I just don't get it! I'm still heartbroken & stunned, & I just don't understand... I always say, everything happens for a reason, & everything is already planned out for us. I just speachless still about this outcome. Well, I did all I can do at least.. Mitt had my vote even the last time. Anyway, we just do the best we can & move forward.... Thank You again Pat, I really appreciate your comment.. :)

Thank You Chris for stopping by this one & leaving a much need comment. Thank You. I was talking with my friend & neighbor after the run trying to understand things... We did what we could do. As we talked, her horses were running about & humming birds were flying around my head.. I just thought to myself, this is life. Thank You again Chris, I know I'm not alone... Carla :)

I kinda did the same thing yesterday (also helped a friend vote). I had a long conversation with a friend and shared our shock at what happened. I am still in shock. But you are right, life does still continue. It is a beautiful sunny day. Then I saw one of the Fox squirrels in my apartment complex hanging out on a tree. I couldn't resist taking some pictures. There is always beauty to be captured. There is always something to be thankful for.

Tuesday, Nov.6: Woke up early, downed a cup of coffee, watched the sun rise, went out to vote for Mitt & Paul. Got home, watched FOX News all day & night untill they called Ohio. Shut the TV off & all lights, got in my jammies crawled into bed & cried myself to sleep. Wednesday, Nov.7: Woke up with broken heart. Downed a cup of coffee, laced up my running shoes & went running. That sun still rose this morning, & it shone through the most brilliant blue sky! Everything happens for a reason, we do our best & keep on keepin on! Another brand new day & life goes on.....

I would like to say to all, I never like to talk politics or religion, & I never & would ever force my opinions & views on others. When I draw people, they are usually an important part of who I am, & a big part of my inspiration. And as art is a way of communicating, I "have" to draw them. I have friends & family with very different religious beliefs & political views. I love them all the same... :) I'm very open minded, & love all types of people & many different things on this planet. If you go through my gallery of art, it is like reading a story of me, but with pictures. I think art & music brings all of us together peacefully as one people.

Judy, Thank You so much once again. I've been watching all the debates & will definately be out to vote on the 6th! I love my country & pay attention to politics, very important in this day & age. I always vote, & would never vote willy nilly, I always watch & read & study each candidate before casting my votes! I have to say... the last debate, Romneys closing speach made me cry. He seemed sincere & so willing to get things going in the right direction. I wanted him to win 4 years ago, but will try to make it stick this time!!! He really loves this country too.... I feel that from him.... :)

What a tribute and excellent image. The humility and and sense of great character shows! There is a humbleness in the eyes that overpowers the smile. You did this very well. Gets my vote and fav. Nice to see a face that isn't loaded with deceit, cockiness, pride and decete! Bravo for all your beautiful work and talent Carla.
