Description
Monarch Butterflies are symbols to many people of re-birth and hope. They certainly are little miracles that float through our lives, many times unnoticed. The story of their lives and journey is one that all should know and all people should try to do their part to keep these wonderful creatures alive on this earth. Due to cutting of the forests in Mexico, pesticides and killing of the Milkweed plant, these little wonders are in danger. Plant Milkweed plants if you have any place in your yard! I have planted several and just two days ago saw a new Monarch drying its still wet and wrinkled wings on a flower after emerging from its chrysalis! Then I helped a Monarch caterpillar back in to the plant bed. It was a really wonderful day!
This square format image focuses on the hindwing of a lovely Monarch butterfly with a green background and a hint of a tall purple verbena flower that butterflies just love!
For more Monarch info check out Monarchwatch.org. You can order Milkweed seed and help to save these beauties!
