Description:
I knitted, felted and embellished this large tote in an attempt to recreate with yarn one of Claude Monet's impressionist landscape paintings. Studying various art courses at the University of Minnesota I came to love the impressionist movement and I have attempted to capture this art period in my textile/fiber art. This tote was an attempt to recreate Monet's lovely impressionist landscape paintings which is reminiscent of many of his paintings of flowering gardens, parks and groves. Two ICORD handles give this large tote stability & the interior, reinforced base is covered in a fashion fabric complimenting the exterior yarn colors. Two fashion buttons glisten at the top edge where two felted ICORD loops come over the top edge to catch the buttons. The interior top edge is finished in gorgeous seed beading & two large interior pockets continue the theme of Monet's Garden.
