even if this was a portrait of the famed mother mary, i have seen alot more profane and offending works then this.. infact, this piece would fit more with the mother mary then some would think.. if this was viewed in a religious simbolic nature, the nakedness could be seen as her innocence and purity.. as for the title, one could imagine her contimplating being the mother of the son of god..so in light, this could very well be a religious type piece that would bring a beautiful vision and awe to mother mary.. either way, a very good piece..
