Description
another picture I took out of its frame and gave some more paint time to flesh it out more.
I was having fun laying one sketch over another until an interesting composition developed which I feel occured with this one.
This is more work from my weekly figure group session.
I think of this as a woman contemplating life mysteries ... almost called it "Mother Mary considers the implications." in fact I shall.

the rates are posted to the right of the image - there are several giclee options and the original is available as well. The giclees are a good deal and considering your home would cost much less considering shipping etc...of course I would be glad to sell you the original.

Hello Nison..etc., Not sure who you feel a need to apologize to when you say "sorry dear..if my word hurts u". It does appear to me that you "may" have some wild eyed assumption that your words may have troubled me. You can rest easy on this account...the ramblings of "devout people" contain no meaning of any sort as far as I am concerned. Well other than as an expose in a cultural anthropological sense of how far the moist mildewed Medieval mentations that manifest myopic mumbo-jumbo continues to be harbored in the 21st century. The audacity of you to express the arrogance attempting to tell me what I am able to title my work is only exceeded by the perfect storm of your superstitions. Your Avatar leads me to think you are in a loving relationship and I am glad because you certainly need something to assist you in navigating this world with the blinders of theistic theology mucking up everything you perceive. Please keep your confused and cranky cognitions off my page - go spew your sputtering silliness somewhere simpatico. Thank You for your time and sincere idiocy ;-)

Dear Gijo, If you want to hide your medieval arrogance you will ask me politely to remove your comment so the rest of the world does not figure out your rampant idiocy. May sense slowly invade your blinders in a fashion to not cause disabling hallucinations or quaking fear from seeing reality all at once. If you want to continue to befoul my pages with your boggled mind feel free to rant and rave your superstitions but should you wish to just look and understand then you are welcome here. May whatever god or metaphysical muck you bow to be kind to you.
Gijo Joseph
Dear Artist, If you want to hide your foolishness please delete this picture, If it is a art of motherhood, where is the baby, its just to harass mother mary. Why god choose mother mary to give birth to christ our lord, God have a specific plan, If you want to harass Mother mary, try to understand that you want to harass your own creater of heaven, your own image, thats your own personality. May God forgive you and light up your ways in life,......!!!

Hi, again, again, Charles, on the day following (April 28, 2011) inviting you, friends, relatives (your relatives -- not mine!) to have a look at my face book page, near the top for something familiar (I didn't do those below it intentionally, but I'll leave them for now hoping that you will look at them, too! See, as so frequentlyl with me, this is all a (self-serving) trick! Happy May Day! Peace, etc., Bruce

Hi, again, Charles! It's been a long time since I was here, and it's splendid coming back, especially to your wonderful works! I like all of this one very much -- hell! All your works are great! -- but I really love the texture of the robe. Thank you for giving us all so much beauty and gourmet entrees for thought! Peace, Bruce

why thanks, dear demented one and may your god forgive you for being a damn fool. If you would trouble yourself to read the description attached to the drawing or posted here in the comment section you would understand just how crazy your comments are.

even if this was a portrait of the famed mother mary, i have seen alot more profane and offending works then this.. infact, this piece would fit more with the mother mary then some would think.. if this was viewed in a religious simbolic nature, the nakedness could be seen as her innocence and purity.. as for the title, one could imagine her contimplating being the mother of the son of god..so in light, this could very well be a religious type piece that would bring a beautiful vision and awe to mother mary.. either way, a very good piece..

Beautiful portrayal of motherhood. One of your very best. There will always be offenses across cultural expanses, i think. I wouldn't take it personally if i were you.
