Description:
I have always enjoyed Dragonflies and their colors, as well as the many symbolisms I have heard about over the years. Ms Pinky was created after studying several views of Dragonflies and following in love with the pink colors I found with their copper and silver wings. . . . . . . .While studying the Dragonflies I came across a reference to a list of symbolisms for them (http://www.dragonfly-site.com/meaning-symbolize.html.) There were two that resonated with me most. First is the Maturity and a Depth of character: The dragonfly, in almost every part of the world symbolizes change and change in the perspective of self realization; and the kind of change that has its source in mental and emotional maturity and the understanding of the deeper meaning of life. The traditional association of Dragonflies with water also gives rise to this meaning to this amazing insect. The Dragonflys scurrying flight across water represents an act of going beyond what ïs on the surface and looking into the deeper implications and aspects of life.. . . . . . .The second was Defeat of Self Created Illusions: The dragonfly exhibits iridescence both on its wings as well as on its body. Iridescence is the property of an object to show itself in different colors depending on the angle and polarization of light falling on it. This property is seen and believed as the end of ones self created illusions and a clear vision into the realities of life. The magical property of iridescence is also associated with the discovery of ones own abilities by unmasking the real self and removing the doubts one casts on his/her own sense of identity. This again indirectly means self discovery and removal of inhibitions. . . . . . . . . . I love how the Dragonfly symbolizes so many changes in ones humanness; an understanding of who we are, and what are truly the gifts around us. People are important, not material things. Relationships are important, not membership in the right clubs. Maturity is a beautiful thing just as the dragonfly has 360 degree vision, through maturity our spiritual vision improves and we see so much more and have a greater understanding. That is, we do if we accept and learn from lessons along the journey of life.
