Multi Coloured Tribal Glass And Crystal Necklace
Jewelry - Glass, Metal, Wire, Swarovski Crystal, Coral, Chalcedony, Gold Plated
NECKLACE IS SOLD, IF YOU WOULD LIKE A SIMILAR NECKLACE MADE, PLEASE EMAIL ME. I found these round aqua glass beads that have been sitting around for years & I love their chunky form. So I really wanted to use them for something. I also love these purple round glass beads, so I copper foiled them with some round red coral discs. I soldered them to the sides of the purple glass bead. I connected wire on one side & thread through the aqua glass beads & wrapped the wire around the red coral bead. I soldered on each side of the coral discs a metal round stone setting to make it wider, then I soldered a jump ring underneath and suspended a pink jade round bead with a gold stardust ball.
The centre of the aqua glass beads I suspended an orange coral bead a aqua bead and one of these 20 something year old light green rectangle glass encased in metal as the centre drop. Either side of this I suspended a blue chalcedony briolette with gold stardust balls. I copper foiled a peridot foiled glass heart on the top of the purple glass bead and soldered a scrolled piece of wire with fuchsia and light round round crystals.
Above the peridot heart I soldered a large rose pear with a coral disc, 2 peridot round crystals either side with pink jade beads & gold stardust balls all soldered in one piece. This was then attached to the neckwire with 2 more coral discs. Then the necklace was wire wrapped with carnelian rondelles and peridot chips. To finish it off I placed 2 aqua glass beads dangles to bring the aqua colour into the top section.
The necklace is gold plated, prong set and soldered by hand. The length of the centre piece from top to bottom is 6 inches long & 2 3/4 inches wide. The back of the necklace has 2 scrolls either side and has a parrot clasp with an adjustable chain with a crystal on the end.
