Description
The Muscovy originated in Brazil and is native to Mexico, Central and South America. However, some domesticated muscovies have escaped into the wild and now breed outside their native range, such as Europe and the United States. This tropical breed has adopted to the climates in other areas. These ducks are great for controlling believe it or not, bugs, weeds and rodents. They eat all types of bugs including mosquitoes, roaches, spiders and ants. They feed all types of weeds, but note they will eat other vegetation, as well. The also eat excess food lying around that normally would attract mice and rats!
